Join us for an AST 1 Course this January! With all the excitement about skiing and riding in the backcountry these days our staff are taking and Avalanche Safety Training course with Stay Wild Backcountry Skills and have some seats available.
The Details:
2 day course – 7 hours of online learning on your own time + 1 hour via zoom or + 1 day in the backcountry at Big White Ski Resort.
Beginner course
Minimum amount of training required if you are headed into the backcountry
Stay Wild is an Avalanche Canada AST provider. Their instructors have professional level training through the Canadian Avalanche Association

Necessary equipment:
Transceiver (recommended 3 antenna) Probe (recommended 3 meter)
Shovel Helmet Touring equipment (touring skis / or splitboard / or snowshoes, skins, poles)
Backpack
Lift ticket to Big White Ski Resort ($20 1 ride tickets are available)
Appropriate clothing for a day in the backcountry
